SYEP at 50 Madison Street

Thanks to Hamilton-Madison House’s partnership and generosity, CMP SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program) is able to set up an office at 50 Madison Ave, RM 207, New York, NY 10010 this summer!

If you have any questions about the program and would like to talk to us in person, please feel free to stop by. For now, our SYEP team will be there 2 to 3 days a week, so please give us a call or email us before your visit to make sure we have staff on site:

Free English Classes

We know it could be very challenging to start a new life in a new country with different culture, especially with a language barrier. Learning English might be the very first step a new immigrant will take when they're ready to start a new life in the U.S. If you need to learn and improve English skills, come join our FREE English classes!

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) 2023

For Youth: Participant application for SYEP 2023 is now open! If you are 16 - 24 years old, and want to gain work experience, explore career options, plus earn some money this summer, apply today! Application deadline is March 31, 2023.

This year, SYEP will start on July 5 and end on August 12 (or start on July 12 and end on August 19). Youth can work up to 25 hours per week and earn up to $2,250 in total.

Workshop on NYC Free Tax Prep

CMP will be hosting an online workshop on NYC Free Tax Prep on Thursday, March 16th, from 3 PM to 4:30 PM to help participants learn more about this program. Families with dependents who earned $80,000 or less and individuals who earned $56,000 or less in 2022 can use NYC Free Tax Prep to file their 2022 tax return.

About the NYC Small Business Opportunity Fund

  • Loan Amount: $2,000-$250,000

  • Borrowing Entity: For-profit small business with revenue less than $5M

  • Interest Rate: Fixed rate 4%

  • Use of proceeds: Startup, Business Acquisition, Transition Businesses, Refinancing, Equipment, Leasehold Improvements, Working Capital. No real estate (unless part of business acquisition.)

  • Prepayment: Borrowers may prepay the loan at any time without penalty.

  • Credit Requirements: There is no minimum credit score requirement, but applicants will need to provide documentation that they are able to repay the loan
