Welcome Back, Larry!

We are happy to welcome Larry Mei Back as our Senior Business Counselor at CMP Business Outreach Center (CMPBOC)! 

Larry has extensive knowledge and 13 years of experience in small business development and supports businesses with a wide range of services, including business planning, financial management, access to capital, and utilizing government resources. He also develops business workshops and training programs for the community and provides one-on-one technical assistance to entrepreneurs.

2018 ALP Student Achievement Celebration

On Tuesday, May 22, our ALP students and staff joined more than 300 other ALP students and staff members from all over the city at DYCD’s annual ALP Student Achievement Celebration at the American India Museum.

our student Joyce Ma, took the stage and shared her immigration experience—from her initial shock and self-doubt to her regaining of self-esteem and direction, with the help from our ALP program.

Our students Joanna Lin, an opera singer, sang “God Bless America” and Frank Zhou, a Tai-Chi master and current NYC champion, performed Tai-Chi.


CMP 2018 CAREER BUILDING AWARDS GALA

Our 2018 Career Building Awards Gala was a huge success! Over 460 guests joined us in celebrating the "Food Service Career" night on April 26th, 2018 @ Edison Ballroom. Congratulations to our honorees Asian American Restaurant Association (AARA)Mr. Spencer Chan, Lau N. Son Produce,  Korea Ginseng Corp.- CheongKwanJang Red Ginseng, Chef Wan Lung Kwan and Mr. Jack Ho.

Advocacy Day

On April 25th, united as the 15% & Growing Campaign, CMP participated in a city-wide Asian American community effort to bring awareness to our elected officials about our community needs, urging for a fair share of resources and support to legislation that protects the disadvantaged ones and ensure economic vitality in our community. 


NBC CARES DAY @ CMP

For the second year in a row we have partnered with Comcast NBC Universal to bring a day of practicing English skills, interview preparation and the networking tips to our students and participants on April 19th, 2018. Thank you to the Comcast NBC Universal volunteers for donating their time and sharing great career tips and experience to our students!


Partnership with Allure Group

Yesterday January 30th, CMP and Allure Group together announced our partnership at the press conference at one of Allure Group's facility --- Hamilton Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where our CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) program graduates had just finished their internship. It was a wonderful opportunity for our program participants to get hands-on training at the center, supplementing them with real-life working experiences.

The Allure group will also provide more comprehensive services and job opportunities within their 6 locations for our students and the community we serve.


CONGRATULATIONS to Our Board Member David Ho!

CMP Board member David Ho was honored by the CUNY Asian American/Asian Research Institute last night at Jing Fong Restaurant with the CUNY Distinguished Asian American Alumni Award on Thursday, November 30th, 2017.  He shared the stage with New York City Public Advocate Leticia James, and CUNY Thomas Tam Scholarship Award winner Peter Lee as the evening’s 3 honorees.  David received the loudest cheers from the crowd among them all!
