CMP continues conveying reliable information regarding COVID-19 to ensure our community has an extra channel to obtain important information and resources from credible sources.

  • The NYC LMI Storefront Loan Program is a 0% interest loan for businesses in low-to-moderate (LMI) income areas of the City. You can see which locations are eligible here.  The application will be open from 7/7 to 8/17.   • If you are 15 days past your final COVID-19 vaccine dose, visit http://epass.ny.gov to retrieve your digital vaccine credential today.

  • As of June 25, 2021, the New York State Travel Advisory is no longer in effect.  As such, travelers arriving in New York are no longer required to submit traveler health forms. All travelers, domestic and international, should continue to follow all CDC travel requirements.

UPDATES (6/24/21)

  • Governor Cuomo yesterday announced that New York’s COVID-19 state of emergency, declared on March 7, 2020, expired today, Thursday, 6/24. Federal CDC guidance will remain in effect, which includes masks for unvaccinated individuals, as well as all riders on public transit and in certain settings, such as health care, nursing homes, correctional facilities, and homeless shelters.

  • Overnight service will return to the Staten Island Ferry starting August 16th. The ferry will run every 30 minutes overnight, as it did before the pandemic.

  • From 6/22 through 6/26, customers getting a COVID-19 vaccine at a Walgreens pharmacy will get $25 in Walgreens Cash rewards.

UPDATES (6/21/21)

  • The IRS will pay half the total Child Tax Credit in advance monthly payments. You will claim the other half when you file your 2021 income tax return. On July 15th, payments will start to be sent out and will continue through the rest of the calendar year at $250 per child between 6-17 or $300 per child under 6.   • Governor Cuomo today announced 9 new pop-up vaccination sites, including 5 in NYC, will open at or near early voting locations, focusing on areas where zip code data shows the vaccination rate is lower than the statewide average: on.ny.gov/3cOm9NR

  • New Yorkers who suspect fraud in the vaccine distribution process can now call 833-VAX-SCAM (833-829-7226) toll-free or email the state Department of Health at STOPVAXFRAUD@health.ny.gov. Hotline staff will route complaints to the appropriate investigative agencies to ensure New Yorkers are not being taken advantage of as the State works to vaccinate the entire eligible population.

UPDATES (6/15/21)

  • Today NYS reached the goal of 70% adult vaccination. Effective immediately, state-mandated COVID restrictions are lifted across commercial and social settings. Large-scale event venues, pre-K to 12 schools, public transit, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, nursing homes, and healthcare settings must continue to follow the State's guidelines until more New Yorkers are vaccinated.

  • NYC residents that meet any of the criteria listed below can register here to be contacted by the City to schedule an in-home vaccination:

    • A person 75 years of age or older

    • A person with a disability

    • A person that is homebound

    • A resident of NYCHA

    • An employee or retiree of the City of New York

    • A person referred by a union, a City partner, or a City vaccination team member

  • Governor Cuomo today announced two new vaccination sites will come online in NYC on 6/11:

    • The Empire State Building Observatory site will operate from Friday, 6/11 to Sunday, 6/13. The first 100 individuals who get vaccinated at the site will receive a free ticket to the Empire State Observatory.

    • The College of Staten Island site will operate from Friday, 6/11 to Thursday, 6/17, and will participate in the State's 'Vax & Scratch' Program.

  • Governor Cuomo today announced that：

    • most of the remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted once 70 percent of New Yorkers aged 18 or older have received the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccination series. Large-scale event venues, pre-K to 12 schools, public transit, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, nursing homes, and healthcare settings must continue to follow the State's guidelines until more New Yorkers are vaccinated. on.ny.gov/3gk0ttY

    • school districts can choose to lift the requirement that their students must wear masks outdoors. Guidance on mask use indoors remains in place. This change aligns New York State's guidance on schools with CDC guidance on summer camps, where even unvaccinated students are not currently required to wear masks outdoors. on.ny.gov/3g5cbdn

  • Check out the NYC mobile & pop-up vaccine sites that will be available in the 5 boroughs for the next few days: nyc.gov/nycmobilevax. Appointments are not required, but you can book an appointment at many of these sites in advance online or by calling 877-VAX-4NYC.

  • The New York International Auto Show will return to the Javits Center this August. The event will be held at pre-pandemic levels. Tickets for the auto show go on sale June 30.

  • Starting yesterday, 6/1, NYC senior centers were allowed to reopen with outdoor programs. Starting 6/14, indoor activities can resume, but social distancing & face covering guidelines remain in effect.

  • New York's 'Vax & Scratch' program has been extended through 6/4. If you get vaccinated at any of 10 state vaccination sites, you will receive a free NYS Lottery scratch off ticket with a grand prize of $5 million. Must be 18 or older to participate. Learn more: on.ny.gov/3ccBdVi

  • The midnight curfew on indoor dining for bars and restaurants across NYS has been lifted on 5/31.

  • Reminder: Free transportation to and from a vaccination appointment is available for city residents 65 and older, as well as for those with disabilities who have no other way to get to a vaccination site.

    • If you are 65 and older, or have a disability, you can schedule free transport by ambulette (Call 516-812-9827) or taxi including wheelchair accessible vehicles (Call 646-349-0289).

    • If you are a minor under the age of 18, you must have your parent or guardian call to book the trip on your behalf.
