On August 14th, CMP hosted a College Workshop for youth and adults interested in pursuing higher education. The event was well-attended, with 41 participants.
The workshop focused on the application processes for CUNY colleges and financial aid. It aimed to offer a comprehensive overview of various colleges, available majors, and the necessary steps and requirements for college and financial aid applications.

🌟 On March 29th, Friday, our Train and Earn Program (Previous OSY Program) participants were in for a special treat! Thanks to the generous support of Dress for Success through the Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD), each participant received a sharp suit jacket🤵🏻🤵🏻♀️.
This stylish addition not only enhances their professional appearance but also boosts their confidence as they progress on their career journey, especially for new immigrants who encounter various challenges while striving for higher education. This gesture signifies support and encouragement every step of the way as they diligently work to improve their English proficiency and enhance their readiness for the workforce. We are immensely grateful for Dress for Success and DYCD's commitment to empowering our participants on their journey to success.
Our next Train and Earn Program (formerly known as OSY) will start a new cycle on 11/28. Our Train & Earn Program starts a new cycle today! Through remote learning, 24 young participants will improve their computer, English reading and writing, and math skills, and get trained on work readiness in 13 weeks. We will also provide assistance on their college and financial aid applications when they successfully finish the program.
Amidst the COVID-19 crisis and despite all the challenges we have been facing, CMP will continue our role as a community service organization!
Our Train & Earn internship program is well underway and will last until December 2018! Our OSY graduates can get paid work experience while attending college.
